Outdoor Festival

May 18, 2013
The Homestead’s first-ever Outdoor Festival features many of the resort’s popular recreational activities along with culinary demonstrations and regional beverage tastings. Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to try falconry, archery and paintball and to learn how to cast a fly rod or paddle a canoe or kayak. Our renowned Shooting Club instructors will demonstrate the art of clay shooting and offer a brief overview of sporting clays while a session on real horse-shoeing will be provided by our equestrian team. At the Mountain Lodge, enjoy an interactive Family Camp Cooking demonstration along with culinary favorites hot off the grill. Plus, brush up on your history in our class on Historic Cocktails. A festive wine and beer garden featuring Virginia wines and craft beers will be available from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Memorial Day Weekend

May 24-27, 2013
Start your summer off right with a trip to The Homestead as we celebrate with lots of daily activities for the entire family.  Enjoy our new Allegheny Springs pools with lazy river and slides before feasting on an All-American cookout.  Then on Sunday, enjoy fireworks on while listening to live music from the band In Full, playing everything from rock to funk to dance and beyond.  Experience golf, horseback riding, hiking, wine tasting, and much, much more!  Click for a complete schedule of events.

Father's Day Weekend

June 14-16, 2013
Bring Dad for a round of golf... a feast in one of our restaurants... a soak in a mineral bath... a round of skeet... or just let him relax in the Great Hall.  Whatever he wishes, The Homestead has it!

July 4th Holiday

July 1-6, 2013
An abundant array of activities includes swimming in our new Allegheny Springs pools with lazy river and slides, movies, bingo, magic shows, balloon art, bounce house, sporting clays, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding and more.  Enjoy an All-American cookout on Thursday, July 4th with live entertainment by the Key West Band.  Then enjoy more live music on the driving range where our spectacular and breathtaking fireworks display concludes the day's festivities.

Taste of the Region

August 16, 2013
Come celebrate a Taste of the Region, an interactive event featuring regional artisans in wine, spirits, brews, sodas and the culinary world. The Honky Tonk Experience will provide entertainment during the event on the Casino Lawn from 7pm-9pm.  Tastings will be offered and your reservation includes two drink tickets.

In the Garden Weekend

August 16-18, 2013
Join us for our 14th Annual "In The Garden" weekend featuring Andre Viette and speakers, welcome reception, seminars, door prizes, wine tasting, tour of The Homestead Gardens and membership to the American Horticultural Society.  Click for package and speaker information.

Labor Day Weekend

August 30 - September 2, 2013
Visit The Homestead for our end of summer party featuring a cookout on the Casino Lawn with live music by The Venture Rays, followed by a wonderful fireworks display.  Activities are always abundant with golf, horseback riding, spa treatments, sporting clays, mountain biking, hiking, history tours and so much more.

Thanksgiving

November 27-December 1, 2013
The Homestead is the perfect place to spend the family holidays with craft classes, bingo and wine tastings.  There is always something to everyone during Thanksgiving in the mountains.  Enjoy our traditional tree lighting ceremony in the Great Hall with a visit from Santa himself.  Then join us for a Grand Lunch Buffet in our Grand Ballroom.

Christmas & New Year's

December 23, 2013 - January 1, 2014
Bring your family for a very special Christmas in the mountains.  Enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities including a visit from Santa.  On New Year's Eve, ring in the new year with elegant dining and dancing at our fabulous celebrations.  In the Main Dining Room, bring in the new year with The Adrian Duke Project, or join us in the Grand Ballroom to party with Mo' Sol.  Either way, you're guaranteed to have a New Year's to remember!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend

January 17-20, 2014
Join us to celebrate a very special holiday at The Homestead. Enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding and ice skating. Try your luck at bingo on Saturday event and you could win a gift card.

Winterfest Weekend

Celebrate winter at The Homestead!  Join us for Winterfest and enjoy skiing, ice skating, snow tubing and snowboarding, or take a dip in our Allegheny Springs heated pool and whirlpool.  Enjoy delectable dining options all weekend, followed by our spectacular fireworks on Saturday night.

Presidents' Day Weekend

Easter Weekend

This Easter, join us at The Homestead and enjoy all the extra fun activities we have planned for the weekend.  Enjoy family crafts, photos with the Easter Bunny, magic shows, balloon artist, caricature and much more!  Make plans on Saturday to have "Afternoon Tea" with the Easter Bunny.  On Sunday morning, children can join the Easter Bunny in finding over 4,000 eggs!  And don't forget to make reservations for our delicious Easter Brunch.

Mother's Day Weekend

Treat Mom to a relaxing weekend at The Homestead.  Let her enjoy a soothing mineral bath and massage at the Spa... and Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday in our Crystal Room.  Or just sit back and take in a movie in our historical theater.
