Reservations and Dining Hours
Reservations for dinner are required in all of The Homestead's restaurants and can be made at the time you book your room reservation. Dining hours for outlets may vary with the season, and service charge and tax are additional.

BREAKFAST PLAN

Save money by adding our breakfast meal plan to your reservation. Enjoy a full buffet breakfast in our historic Main Dining Room each morning . Offering a wide selection of fresh fruits, ham, bacon, eggs and omelets cooked to order, pancakes, pastries, and much more, it is a great way to start your day at The Homestead.

DINING ROOM

Blending Traditions with Memorable Dining...
For over a century guests have enjoyed the traditions of The Homestead's renowned Dining Room. Musicians play nightly while couples dance the night away and kids of all ages have their first ballroom dance. The southern American cuisine is prepared to perfection. Entrees are complemented with outstanding wines from across the globe. Desserts are always a much anticipated treat, each prepared by the resort's Pastry Shop, and Executive Pastry Chef Michel Finel. Coat required, tie requested for gentlemen & young men 12 years and older for dinner.

Breakfast! Perhaps the most eagerly awaited event at The Homestead is our incomparable breakfast buffet, served daily in the Dining Room. Morning sunshine and ecru linens greet you, the selection is incredible, and resort casual attire is favored, as guests begin their day before golf, equestrian activities, or the relaxation of the Spa.

The dinner menus in The Homestead Dining Room are rotated and the menu for the evening is posted in front of the Dining Room. Children enjoy selecting fun and healthy foods from the children's menu.

1766 GRILLE

The art of tableside preparation, celebrated cuisine, and unparalleled presentation have earned the 1766 Grille a place among the nation's finest restaurants. French and American cuisine resonates with classic favorites and original creations, all complimented by soft music and an intimate atmosphere, with panoramic views of the expansive grounds. A jacket and collared shirt are required, no denim please.

CASINO CLUB RESTAURANT

Place for Gathering with Family and Friends....
A favorite sport of Victorian ladies was indoor badminton,and the buildings for such lively recreations were often called casinos, so The Homestead built the ladies just such a building back in 1895! Today the heritage of sport is evident with the Casino Club Restaurant's hearty lunch menu, featuring seasonal favorites, our homemade soups, specialty drinks, salads, sandwiches and of course desserts from our Pastry Shop. Adjacent to the first tee of the Old Course, the relaxed setting and view of the practice green, the Outdoor Pool, tennis courts and lawn game area make each meal memorable. The Casino Club Restaurant is open occasionally for dinner, with al fresco dining in the summer, and menu selections range from soup and salads to a sumptuous variety of entrées emphasizing Southern favorites and American classics. Please check with dining reservations for dinner availability as hours of operation vary.

SAM SNEAD'S TAVERN

Casual Atmosphere and Local Offerings....
The finest Certified Angus Beef grilled to your order, our fresh, local Virginia Allegheny Mountain Trout sautéed with grapes and almonds, or ribs bar-b-qued to mouth watering tenderness, an array of appetizers, salads, Homestead-made French Onion Soup, and grand desserts - the food at Sam Snead's Tavern offers an inviting retreat for those looking for a true taste of the local color. Located across the street from the resort in a turn-of-the-century building formerly known as the Bath County National Bank, Sam Snead's Tavern is almost as legendary as Sam Snead's truly incredible career! The relaxed, casual atmosphere is always a perfect choice for dinner, surrounded by photographs and memorabilia from Sam's years with the PGA Tour, and his life here in Hot Springs. The Tavern is open every day for dinner. Casual attire, and of course a full bar and beverage service.

PRESIDENTS LOUNGE

The Homestead is known as "the playground of Presidents and princes" for good reason: twenty-two presidents of the United States have visited our resort. Their portraits surround you in the Presidents Lounge, where traditional elegance and a comfortable, casual atmosphere invite you to relax with a cocktail or aperitif before dinner, and a selection of fine cognac, port, single malt scotches, and single barrel bourbons await your after dinner enjoyment.

PLAYERS PUB

Cheer on your favorite team, enjoy billiards, darts, and other games, or just relax with friends in the casual sports atmosphere of the Players Pub. RUBINO'S AT THE CASCADES

The Cascades Golf Course is simply the finest golf course in all Virginia - and consistently ranked among the top courses in America. Rubino's is a fitting accompaniment: fine food in the historic club house, overlooking the magnificent views of the course and the spring-fed pond that supplies the headwaters of the Cascades Gorge stream. Favored for casual lunches by players just finishing their round, nature lovers enjoying the Cascades Gorge walk, and everyone who enjoys dining surrounded by the beautiful views of America's finest mountain golf course. Chef Rodger Martin and his award winning culinary team has created menu, featuring the classic Ruben sandwich, Philly Steak sub and other unique sandwiches and salads. Open daily for lunch from April through October, and for private evening parties.

THE MOUNTAIN LODGE RESTAURANT

The Homestead pioneered skiing in the South, opening our first slopes in 1959, together with an Olympic size ice skating rink, and the Mountain Lodge. Today the slopes are better than ever, as is our new, state of the art snowmaking equipment, and the Mountain Lodge Restaurant's menu has everyone's favorites for ski season. Fireplaces roar both inside and on the outdoor deck, and you can get everything from hot buttered rum to coffee, espresso, cappuccino and hot flavored cocoa for the kids at the bar. All kids in casual attire are welcomed. The Mountain Lodge is open during the winter season and for private parties all year long.

IN-ROOM DINING

Offered from 7 a.m. to midnight daily, The Homestead's room service, or "private dining," is directed by a professional staff versed in the old school of Southern hospitality. The personal attention and exceptional menu selections make private dining a delightful treat in the privacy of your own room. Box lunches for outdoor activities, golf, and to take along during your trip home are also available.
