New Year New Omni

For immediate release

Feb. 20, 2014 (Hot Springs, Va.)The Omni Homestead Resort is welcoming the New Year in style with the completion of a $25 million transformation. The two-year, property-wide revitalization heightens all aspects of the resort experience welcoming The Spa at The Omni Homestead, Mini Cascades Miniature Golf, Jefferson’s Restaurant and DownTime, a new family game area.

The Spa at The Omni Homestead

The new Spa at The Omni Homestead is an expansive, 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. A destination unto itself, The Spa embodies the resort’s centuries-old tradition of “taking the waters,” integrating geothermal spring waters into its services. The mineral-rich natural springs give way to one of the spa’s signature treatments, the Homestead Soothing Scrub, which rejuvenates the skin and releases the vital flow of energy, bringing balance back to the body. Children and teens can also unwind with a series of signature family spa services, such as children’s yoga, the Stars Facial and Pink Bubbles Pedicure.

Open year-round, The Spa’s outdoor Spa Garden is an adults-only refuge featuring the historic hot springs, river reflexology walk, Finnish sauna, naturally pressurized deluge shower, spring-fed pool and whirlpool, and private poolside cabanas. Inside, The Spa’s striking interior features 28 treatment rooms; fitness area with cardio/weight room and movement therapy rooms; and an Aqua Thermal Suite, a European-inspired oasis including experiential showers, herbal cocoon, thermal heated lounges, aromatic steam, and “The Chill” – a cold cabin with crisp vapor and flaked ice to cool the lungs and lower the core’s temperature.

New Dining is Served

The resort’s new Jefferson's Restaurant and Bar is a contemporary, refined bar and grill featuring robust flavors from the farms of Virginia, seafood from the Atlantic seaboard and premium cuts of beef. Perfect for lunch or dinner, the restaurant serves up a farm-to-table gastronomic experience spiced with regional influences, such as Grilled Atlantic Swordfish and Chesapeake Crab Bisque, along with a handpicked selection of prime and regional meats and top-quality seafood. The interior dining space is wrapped in rich wood paneling and alive with high-tech, widescreen televisions aglow with sports programming, while floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace offer breathtaking views of the Allegheny Mountains.

Fun for All Ages

The resort’s family-fun philosophy is in full flourish at DownTime, the new game area opened in the former Player's Pub. The atmosphere is playful and inviting with mini bowling, billiards, shuffleboard, air hockey, arcade games, and Wii, PlayStation and Xbox game areas. A casual and fun menu featuring sandwiches, wings, pizza, and ice cream is also available.

Cascades-Style Miniature Golf

As if two championship golf courses weren’t enough, The Omni Homestead Resort has expanded its golf offerings with The Mini Cascades Miniature Golf Course. Inspired by resort’s renowned Cascades Course, the new family-friendly attraction features 18 holes of play with challenges for all ages and abilities.

Experience all that’s new at The Omni Homestead Resort with the Unlimited Activities Package.
