Hospitality Lounge / Tower Suite – Get settled into The Homestead the Virginia way with a favorite beverage and canapés in your exclusive hospitality lounge. The charming Tower Suite, located just off the Great Hall, blends timeless tradition and stylish grace to create a gathering place ideal for connecting with colleagues, regrouping, or simply taking in the historic ambience.

Welcome Reception / Shooting Club Pavilion – The Virginia breeze and breathtaking mountain views assure your event will have an inspired start. Sample pan-seared Allegheny Mountain trout and other Southern delicacies while enjoying a crisp mint julep and listening to the strains of a string quartet. Thomas Jefferson and other historic figures will test your wit while conversing about politics, local gossip and the concept of liberty so important to a new nation. Round out the memorable evening with a falconry demonstration.

Breakfast / Dining Room - Gather in the sunlit Dining Room for an unforgettable breakfast buffet. Sample abundant seasonal fresh fruit, sweet orange-glazed donuts and omelets cooked to perfection.

Business Meeting / Grand Ballroom - Our classically elegant Grand Ballroom makes an impressive setting for your first official event, with almost 14,000 square feet of high-tech functionality under a soaring 22-foot ceiling. Subtle gold tones in the marble-adorned foyer reflect the sunlight filtering through the mountains.

Lunch / Terrace - Lunch on the Grand Ballroom's lovely terrace is refreshing. Paved in brick, the three-tiered patio is surrounded by a garden path overflowing with vibrant, flowering plants.

Option 1: Golf on the Cascades - Play a championship round on a classic, 1924 William S. Flynn design that is considered the nation's finest mountain course. The Cascades Course is known for its long, narrow fairways, fast greens and the beautiful headwaters of the Cascades Stream. It is consistently rated among the top resort courses by leading golf magazines.

Option 2: Spa Treatments / The Homestead Spa - Indulge in a pampering massage or enjoy 'taking of the waters' in the healing natural springs of our premier European-style spa. With 33 treatment rooms, The Homestead Spa combines an historic setting with innovative spa techniques and a signature product line infused with fragrant mountain laurel, ginseng, honeysuckle and other local botanicals.

The Saddle Up Showdown / Equestrian Show Ring - A cozy hayride will transport you through wooded mountain trails as a storyteller spins delightful local tales. Arriving at the Equestrian Show Ring, you'll enjoy an all-American cookout and campfire, complete with s'mores and 'celebrity' guests. Chuck wagon races, a mechanical bull, horseshoes and square dancing and clogging to bluegrass music complete this unforgettable night.

Option 1: Fly Fishing - Let our experienced Orvis-endorsed guides lead you through a one-hour fly-casting clinic on our private Cascades stream.

Option 2:  Skeet / Sporting Clays - Five-stand sporting, trap and .22-caliber rifle/pistol ranges are offered at our skeet and sporting clays fields. Originally built in 1933, all fields meet National Skeet Shooting Association specifications.

Option 3: Guided Hike on the Cascades Gorge - Join a Homestead naturalist for a 1.8-mile hike through the spectacular Cascades Gorge. This gentle trail offers a symphony of sights and sounds as it leads you by up to 13 waterfalls.

"Hot Springs Swing" Final Night Gala / Crystal Ballroom - The Crystal Ballroom is the perfect backdrop for a night of swing dancing, complete with a celebrity look-alike contest and photos with 1940's movie idols. In our historic theatre, flip the usher a nickel and listen to dueling pianos while you wait for Casablanca to fill the screen. Order a martini or Scotch, dress to the nines from our collection of Cary Grant and Joan Crawford classics, then step outside with a selection from our Cigar and Cordial Bar. And don’t be surprised if your photo makes the morning paper.
