Falcon hunting has a long-standing reputation for being the sport of kings. And here in the Virginia countryside, it still is. Guests of The Homestead can participate in a field sports tradition that stretches back nearly 400 years. Learn the fine points of the sport with trained birds of prey - including falcons, hawks and owls - at The Homestead's Mews, a world-class Virginia falconry facility.

Opening March - October 2013 Monday - Saturday

Beginner Lesson: 10:00 am; 12:30 pm; 2 pm
Intermediate Lesson* available after Beginner Lesson completed

$89** per adult Beginner Lesson
$74** per child Beginner Lesson (ages 5-15)

$135** per adult Intermediate Lesson*
$115** per child Intermediate Lesson* (ages 10-15)

*Participant must complete the Beginner Lesson before they can take the Intermediate Lesson.  ** Plus 18% gratuity.
