Skiing & Snowboarding
First and Best In Virginia: Skiing & Snowboarding at The Homestead
Home to the first Virginia skiing resort, The Homestead has welcomed downhill skiers since 1959 to our very own ski area. Known for its wide slopes and great family learning area, the resort features a total of more than 45 acres for skiing and snowboarding enjoyment. Rental equipment is available at The Homestead Ski Area, while the Sepp Kober Ski School & Bunny School offer skiing and snowboarding lessons for groups and individuals. Skiers and snowboarders of all expertise levels will find challenges and excitement at our Terrain Park. Set within the spectacular Allegheny Mountains of Virginia, the ski and snowboarding area of our resort is open from mid December through March, weather permitting.
Ni ght Skiing available every Saturday night from 6-9pm (excluding Christmas Eve and New Years Eve).
