Off Road Adventure

The Homestead's Off Road Adventure program offers guests a thrilling and memorable outdoor experience.  Our ORA course consists of nearly 3 miles of switchbacks, climbs, and beautiful wooded trails.  All vehicles are set up for a driver and passenger.  Reservations required.

Archery

The Homestead Archery Range is designed for recreational archers. It consists of eight stationary targets that are set at varying distances for adults and children. Sessions can be booked in one hour time frames. Right and left hand bows as well as adult and youth model bows are available. There is a 3D Archery Range that has ten stations and is designed to offer the archer a unique experience of enjoying our natural surroundings.  Lessons $45** per hour, Standard Range w/12 arrows $35* per hour, 3D Range w/6 arrows: $35** per hour, 3DRange with own gear $25** per hour

Wilderness Wonders Presentation:
When the Cascades Gorge Hike is not available because of inclement weather, join one of our naturalists for an exciting presentation to learn about the fossils and the local eco system, being the oldest mountain range in the world - the Alleghenies. Find out about the common things around you that aren’t so common such as lighting, plants etc. Learn about how most of our medicines come from weeds; how orchids lure insects to mate with the flowers because they look like insects; survival tips about the woods and much more. $15* (2 hours)

Scenic Drive Tour:
Take a scenic trip through Bath County and enjoy some of the most beautiful views as well as learning about some of the areas history. See Lake Moomaw, Gathright Dam, Ingalls Overlook, Jefferson Pools, Warm Springs/County Seat, Bath County Airport, Falling Spring, Sam Snead's home and much more.  Don't forget to bring your camera!

Vibz Family Game Center:
Families can test their game skills when they stop in at “Vibz” located in Cottage Row. Try out the Wii (Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii Fit, Wii Sports), PSP, DVD's, air hockey and much more. $5*

High Expectations for the tower renovations!

Since 1929, the stately tower has been the trademark of the Homestead. During the winter months, this national Historic Landmark has been updated while keeping with the hotel’s traditional splendor.  The new decor includes fresh paint and wallpapering, distinctive new fabrics, beautiful carpet in the rooms, porches and corridors, lush drapes, and marble tile floors and new pedestal sinks in the bathrooms.  Our beloved tower is now standing taller and prouder than ever.
